Innocent Didace Balume, known professionally as Innoss’B, was born in Goma (DRC) on May 5, 1997. A singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer and percussionist, he developed early a hybrid sound blending Afro-Congo, afrobeats, Congolese rumba and urban pop. He first gained attention as a teenager for his rhythm-driven stage presence before emerging as one of the leading voices of the new Congolese generation.

His continental breakthrough came in 2019 with “Yo Pe” and the “Yo Pe (Remix)” featuring Diamond Platnumz. The video surpassed 250M views and triggered a viral challenge worldwide, earning him a BET Awards 2020 nomination (Best International Act). The momentum brought him to major European stages such as Starboy Fest (with Wizkid) and Afro Nation Ghana alongside headline dates in Luxembourg, Brussels, Lyon, Berlin and London.

Between 2020 and 2022, Innoss’B consolidated his rise with notable singles and cross-regional collaborations: “Olandi”, “Best” with Damso, “Kelebe” with Rayvanny, “Maboko Milayi” with Awilo Longomba, and appearances with Shado Chris. In late 2021, he released the 15-track album Mortel-06, blending rumba, afro-trap and hip-hop. The project performed strongly across Central Africa — boosted by million-view videos such as “Sukali” — and was followed by his first U.S. tour (New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Denver, Dallas) as well as shows in Abidjan and Kinshasa.

In 2023, he expanded across francophone and East-African markets, collaborating with Kaaris (“Flex”), Zuchu (“Nani Remix”), Bahati, Mputu Meya (“Loketo Remix”), Diesel Gucci, and appearing on Yemi Alade’s project (“Lipeka”). These bridges strengthened his footprint across Africa and the diaspora.

In 2024, he released the EP Calcul (5 tracks) featuring “Sete”, “Number One”, “Bango Kaka Te”, “Bilan Zéro” and “Chantier”. The “Sete” video crossed one million views in under two weeks. On stage, Innoss’B performed at Esperanzah! Festival in Belgium, appeared as a guest at Zénith Paris during Yemi Alade’s concert, and joined the REMA festival in Ouagadougou. He closed the year with viral releases including “Amapiupiu”.

In 2025, he continued his international ascent with a feature on “Biloko” (Cappuccino LBG), while his single “Chilling” drove a TikTok trend. He performed at the closing ceremony of the first World Festival of Music & Tourism at Palais du Peuple (DRC), and ranked among the most-streamed Congolese artists in France in 2025 while sustaining a strong live presence across Europe and Africa.

Innoss’B, de son vrai nom Innocent Didace Balume, est né à Goma (RDC) le 5 mai 1997. Chanteur, auteur-compositeur, rappeur, danseur et percussionniste (djembé), il forge très jeune un style hybride entre AfroCongo, afrobeats, rumba congolaise et hip-hop. Il se fait remarquer à l’adolescence par sa présence scénique et sa musicalité rythmique, avant de s’imposer progressivement comme une figure montante de la pop urbaine congolaise nouvelle génération.

La percée continentale arrive en 2019 avec « Yo Pe » puis le « Yo Pe Remix » avec Diamond Platnumz, dont le clip franchit le seuil des 250 millions de vues et déclenche un challenge viral. Ce succès lui vaut une nomination aux BET Awards 2020 (Best International Act). Dans la foulée, il multiplie les dates en Europe (Luxembourg, Bruxelles, Lyon, Berlin, Londres) et joue sur des scènes majeures comme Starboy Fest (avec Wizkid) et Afro Nation Ghana.

Entre 2020 et 2022, Innoss’B confirme son statut avec des singles forts et des collaborations notables : « Olandi », « Best » avec Damso, « Kelebe » avec Rayvanny, « Maboko Milayi » avec Awilo Longomba ou encore des apparitions auprès de Shado Chris. Fin 2021, il publie l’album Mortel-06 (15 titres), qui fusionne rumba, afro-trap et hip-hop. L’album performe sur les plateformes en Afrique centrale et est porté par des clips millionnaires comme « Sukali ». Le clip de « Sete » dépasse le million de vues en moins de deux semaines, entraînant une forte traction sociale. Sur scène, Innoss’B se produit à Esperanzah! en Belgique, apparaît en guest au Zénith de Paris lors du concert de Yemi Alade, puis participe aux REMA (Rencontres Musicales Africaines) à Ouagadougou. Il clôt l’année par des sorties virales dont « Amapiupiu ».
