La Fouine : the entrepreneur French rapper

Laouni Mouhid, better known with his stage name, “La Fouine” is a French singer, rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur (his own production label “Banlieue Sale” he created in 2007 with his brother) and actor as well. Moreover he leads his own clothing line entitled “Street Swagg”. He is presently an established figure of the French rap scene.
Laouni Mouhid, was born on 25 December, 1981, in Trappes, in Parisian suburbs (The Yvelines). La Fouine (or in English the Weasel), is part of a family composed of seven children. His parents were born in Casablanca, Morocco. His mother was poor and his family frequented the “Restaurants du Coeur”. When he was 15, he decided to stop his studies and he devoted himself to rap music. That’s why he started to learn music and took his first music lessons. Called “Forcené”, La Fouine became an active member of a collective called “GSP”.

This formation was part of the short-lived group titled “FORS” with Hervé a musician DJ (DJ VR), Laouni MOUHID (Forcené) and Tarek Medimegh (Le Griffon) in La Verrière City. They participated at 2 R puissance ART, and won the second prize.

His career as a rapper

He started his rapper career in 2004. Next year, he launched his first street-tape, the title was “Planète Trappes”, he got an early legitimate introduction in rap thanks to this tape. And 2005 was the year when he released his first album “Bourré au son”, this opus was incredibly marked by the Californian style. Some singles from it, “Quelque chose de spécial” and “L’unité” got a critical acclaim on French radio stations. In 2007, he released “Aller-Retour”, in fact, he put out “Planète Trappes Volume 2” on the French market. He launched especially his brother called Canardo with three titles. La Fouine created his second album called “Aller-Retour” on March, 2007. One single, entitled “Reste en chien” with another popular French rapper, Booba, was recorded. “Qui peut me stopper” was the second title and was followed by “On s’en bat les couilles” and “Banlieue sale”. Those two titles were recorded with Gued’1& Kennedy. With the talented French woman singer, Amel Bent, he sang “Tombé pour elle”. This album today is certified gold.

His discography from 2009

From 2009, he released a street-tape whose name was “Capitale du Crime”, this tape highlighted the rappers from Les Yvelines. “Mes Repères” was his third album in February 2009. Following to this album, he was attributed a gold disc certification in 2009, October. In this opus, he included three guest appearances, with the popular French singer Soprano on the hit “Repartir à zéro”. Especially with Soprano and Sefyu, he recorded “Ca fait mal”. With Canardo, his younger brother, he created “Hamdoulah Moi Ca Va”. This album was rewarded platinum. 2010 was the year when he realized the disk “Capitale du Crime Volume 2”, it was created on January 18, 2010. This record got the 3rd rank in album sales in France, during the first week following its first week. He collaborated with Canardo, Kennedy, Vincenzo, Chabodo, his brother Canardo, Green Money and A2¨Rickwell. La Fouine, in April 2010, chose to work with Admiral T & Medine on the single “Viser la Victoire”, an extract of the album called “L’instinct Admiral ». One hit called “Dans nos quartiers” was imagined with Alonzo and Teddy Corrona. Now, this mixtape was rewarded gold.

His albums

2011 was the creation of “La Fouine vs Laouni”. In this opus, he had the opportunity to collaborate with Californian rapper The Game. In 2011, a concert in Zenith was organized. He performed with Zaho and later with Kamelancien and another notable rapper Sultan. Then followed albums like “Capitale du Crime volume 3” in 2013 which certified Gold with 65 000 sells.  His album « Nouveau monde » dropped in 2016, followed by a recent Mixtape called « Capitale du crime Censuré« .
